About The Event
Bitcoin has become one of the hottest buzzwords in the financial realm. Daily, there are news articles debating its viability and whether it is an investment product or the currency of the future. For many people, and nonprofits, this currency is confusing and remains shrouded in mystery. However, there are a few nonprofit institutions that have established policies and procedures around the acceptance of Bitcoin as an alternative gift vehicle. While the amount of donors are still few in number compared to traditional fundraising the upside of accepting Bitcoin can be substantial.
During this presentation you will get an overview on: What is Cryptocurrency? Who owns it? How to get it? And what to do with it once you accept a donation?
