July is the kick-off month for the AFP, Greater Dayton Region Chapter Every Member Campaign.  Each year, we ask that all members of AFP consider giving back to our profession by supporting this annual campaign. 

Why It Makes Sense to Give
Serving Philanthropy – AFP Foundation for Philanthropy provides professional fundraisers a way to “give back” and help others support and advance philanthropy and careers in fundraising.  The goal of AFP Foundation is to generate the resources to fund AFP strategic initiatives that advance ethical and effective fundraising.

How Your Gift Makes a Difference

• Scholarships – Foundation dollars provide training opportunities through scholarship funds like the Ralph E. Chamberlain scholarship awarded each year to one of our local chapter members for first-time attendance at the AFP International Conference on Fundraising. 
• Chapter Awards – These awards, funded by the Foundation, celebrate and acknowledge outstanding support of the annual fund and grants for chapter activities that advance ethical and effective fundraising.  These chapter grants are used to increase awareness, participation in education act ivies and diversity in the profession and in AFP.  Grants are also used to promote career planning and the Code of Ethics.  Past grants awarded to the Greater Dayton Region chapter have provided AFP membership scholarships, local training scholarships and scholarships for AFP’s International Conference on Fundraising.
