Bethany
Deines is the Director of Annual Gifts for the Children’s
Medical Center of Dayton. She oversees all aspects
of annual giving, including the Children’s Miracle
Network program, third party and special events,
direct mail, e-fundraising, social media, stewardship,
and the support of three auxiliary groups: TWIGS,
Women’s Board, and The Little Exchange. Her
primary focus is grassroots fundraising initiatives to
support Dayton Children’s. Prior to arriving at
Dayton Children’s in 2007, Deines worked as an Account
Executive for Mediasauce, a firm specializing in
storytelling using digital communication and emerging
technology formats. From 1997-2006, she served as
the Director of Development for the Phi Kappa Tau
Foundation and coordinated the annual giving program,
national philanthropy (Hole in the Wall Camps), and all
scholarship/grant programs. Deines also worked as
the Executive Director for Sigma Sigma Sigma from
1993-1997, managing the daily operations of the Sorority
from the National Headquarters in Woodstock, VA.
Deines is an active
member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals
and serves on the programming and National Philanthropy
Day committees for the Dayton chapter. She maintains a
busy volunteer schedule by serving on Tri Sigma’s
Executive Council as National Vice President. Her
previous national service to Tri Sigma includes:
Membership Development Vice President, Publications Vice
President, Director of College Panhellenic Services,
Ritual Director, Scholarship Director, and National
Collegiate Chairman. She recently accepted the
development committee chairman assignment for the Circle
of Sisterhood Foundation, a new nonprofit developed by
sorority women to help provide access to education for
women and girls worldwide. Deines graduated from Arizona
State University with a BS degree in justice studies.
